West Liberty, Iowa high schools cancelled for Monday allegedly due to staff reactions to COVID vaccine

(thepostmillennial)Classes at schools in West Liberty, Iowa have been canceled for Monday due to a lack of staff. According to the announcement, this included all virtual learning as well.

The announcement was made Sunday on the West Liberty Community School District website and Facebook page.

A district official told KCRG that the lack of staffing was due to many faculty and staff members experiencing side effects from their second dose of the coronavirus vaccine, which they received on Saturday.

Though classes are cancelled, activities and practices are scheduled to continue as planned, including a band and choir concert.

The story is developing.

This is a developing story.

Arson at Portland Public Schools headquarters has suspected ties to Antifa

(thepostmillennial)An arson fire that damaged vehicles parked at the administration building of Portland Public Schools is under investigation. Antifa graffiti was found at the scene after months of threats against schools being posted from social media accounts affiliated with the group. One post even included a picture of the aftermath of the arson.

Early Saturday morning The Portland Public School (PPS) headquarters was severely damaged in an arson attack. Some of the graffiti messages at the site of the fire repeat BLM and Antifa messaging and an anarchist symbol was also sprayed on the building.

According to Post Millennial editor-at-large Andy Ngo, Antifa groups called for terrorist attacks on Saturday, March 6, and have been calling for attacks on schools for months. Ngo posted on Twitter social media activity of various Antifa groups specifically targeting schools.

The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) released a statement which said, on Saturday, March 6 at 3:15AM “Portland Fire and Rescue (PF&R) responded to a fire alarm at the Portland Public School (PPS) Administration Building at 501 North Dixon Street. They encountered three PPS vehicles on fire in a parking garage. Two were cargo vans and one was a large box truck. They extinguished the flames.”

PPB has reported that the fire was “determined to be suspicious in nature” and there is an investigation by PF&R underway. Preliminary information is that the suspect or suspects gained entry to a fenced area on the property, started the fires, and vandalized the building.

No one was injured and no arrests have been made. There is an ongoing a joint investigation between PPB and PF&R. If anyone has information about this case, please contact Detective Meredith Hopper at [email protected] 503-823-3408. Please reference case number 21-60173.

Mumford & Sons Guitarist Swarmed by Fanatic Leftists After Praising Andy Ngo’s Book

(bigleaguepolitics)Folk rock musician Winston Marshall was swarmed by furious leftists after congratulating journalist Andy Ngo on the publication of his new book, “Unmasked.” Ngo’s book breaks down Antifa’s model of attacking democracy and political violence in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere, shining light on the street terror group’s extremism.

Marshall, the lead guitarist of Mumford & Sons, hailed Ngo as a “brave man” in a since-deleted tweet.

Antifa supporters were quick to attack the musician as a “Nazi,” unleashing the hate-filled vitriol commonly associated with the intolerant movement. Marshall’s Twitter feed is largely filled with support for Hong Kong demonstrators, a far cry from what leftists might expect from a “fascist.” The English guitar player’s band is known for songs such as “I Will Wait” and “Hopeless Wanderer.”

Others pointed to the faux social media outrage as mere evidence of the Left’s intolerance and fanaticism.

Ngo has been forced to flee the United States under a constant barrage of Antifa threats in recent months, with the street terror group determined to silence Ngo’s reporting on consistent property damage, anarcho-tyranny, and violent crime in Portland and elsewhere.

Unfortunately, Marshall has since deleted the tweet. It’s considered impossible to get anywhere in the mainstream music industry if you haven’t cravenly bowed before the false gods of ultraliberalism and identity leftism. While Marshall took a risk in even saluting Ngo’s work in the first place, he unfortunately appears to have backed down, to a degree, a sad lamentation of the state of mainstream entertainment and corporate culture.

Texas Representative Introducing Legislation for State to Finish “President Donald J. Trump Wall”

(bigleaguepolitics)A Texas legislator is pledging to complete sections of President Donald Trump’s border wall, proposing new legislation that would enable the state of Texas to resume construction of the wall system abandoned by Joe Biden.

Bryan Slaton of House District 2 is pledging to name the complete wall the “President Donald J. Trump Wall” in House Bill 2862.

President Trump fought to bring real border security and was opposed by Republicans and Democrats in Congress. While hundreds of miles of new wall were built under his leadership, the Biden administration has already ceased border wall construction,” Slaton said in a press statement announcing the legislation.

It is time for Texas to stand up and finish the work that President Trump started. Let’s finish building the border wall now.

It’s likely legal for state governments to take eminent domain measures to acquire land on the border and build a protective wall on it. Contractors already lined up to work with the federal government may even be willing to negotiate rates with Texas, having fully engaged in building more than 450 miles of wall during Donald Trump’s presidency. Slaton’s legislation would also formally request compensation for wall construction from the federal government. The bill is currently awaiting assignment to a committee in the Texas House of Representatives.

Customs and Border Patrol agents have pointed to the border wall system as a lifesaver on the southern border, enabling law enforcement to focus resources in more concentrated areas where illegal immigration and drug trafficking have been focused.

An Arizona Sheriff is pointing to the cessation of wall construction as an invitation of criminality. Likening the border regions of Cochise County to a “crime scene,” Mark Dannels is describing the abandoned construction sites as “roads for the cartels,” pointing to rates of illegal immigration and smuggling that have doubled since Joe Biden ascended to the presidential throne.

Arizona legislators may soon follow in funding border wall construction at a state level, leaving California and New Mexico as Democrat-leaning states unlikely to secure the nation’s borders with states funds.

Transgender Activist Says ‘Little Girls are Kinky’ to Defend Bathroom Invasion

(bigleaguepolitics)A far-left Twitter page called “Women’s Voices” is promoting transgenderism and offering the perspectives of these severely mentally ill predators who are targeting children for induction into their depraved lifestyle.

A transgender activist, Alok Vaid-Menon, said that “little girls are kinky” to defend the sexualization of young children.

“These days the narrative is that transgender people will come into bathrooms and abuse little girls. The supposed “purity” of the victims has remained stagnant,” Vaid-Menon said, apparently defending the abuse of the innocent.

“There are no princesses. Little girls are also kinky. Your kids aren’t as straight and narrow as you think,” he added.

Other transgender activist shared their opinions on the page to show exactly how disgusting and reprehensible they are.

“While I never really believed the cliché about women being good for only one thing, that sentiment kept creeping into my fantasies. It’s called forced feminization… transforming the loss of male privilege into the best f*ck ever,” wrote trans-identifying author Julia Serano.

“Pornography is what it feels like when you think you have an object, but really the object has you. It is therefore a quintessential expression of femaleness. Getting f*cked makes you female because f*cked is what a female is,” wrote trans-identifying academic Andrea Long Chu.

“Autogynephilia describes… the basic structure of all human sexuality. The assimilation of any erotic image is, by nature, female. To be female is, in every case, to become what someone else wants. At bottom, everyone is a sissy,” Chu added.

“I think there are a lot of gay men out there who are gay men as a consolation prize because they couldn’t be women. That was certainly true of me,” wrote trans-identifying author Juno Dawson.

Juno Dawson used to be known as “James Dawson” and announced their transition after pushing a book depicting graphic sex acts on children. This allowed him to avoid some of the criticism he was receiving for his “pedophile behavior,” as one mother described it.

“There is something about being treated like shit by men that feels like affirmation itself, like a cry of delight from the deepest cavern of my breast… To be the victim of honest, undisguised sexism possesses an exhilarating vitality,” wrote trans-identifying academic Grace Lavery.

“Women around the world have been treated as sexual objects. Yet if sexual objectification is so categorically awful, then why do I want it so badly? The idea that being seen as a ‘sex object’ is universally a bad thing is too simple, like many tenets of feminism,” transgender author Jacob Tobia wrote.

Now that these individuals are no longer shunned by society, they are coming out of the closet and explaining their inner thoughts and feelings. Their own words prove the Christian right to be correct about the LGBT societal menace.

Newsom COVID ‘Equity’ Plan: Vaccinate 2 Million Latinos Or California Won’t Reopen

(zerohedge)California Governor Gavin Newsom has completely changed his response to COVID – again – this time leveraging opening the state for all Californians on the backs of low-income Latinos living in the areas with the highest rates of the illness.

In the name of “equity,” Newsom announced Thursday that 40% of all the state’s available vaccines will go to Latino communities in the Central Valley and in pockets of LA because Latinos have suffered the most death and illness from COVID.

And there’s a catch: Until the Latinos in these areas take the vaccine in higher numbers, California will stay locked down.

State Health and Human Services Director Dr. Mark Ghaly said once the shots are in the arms, the state can reopen.

“As we achieve higher levels of vaccine in the hardest hit communities, we feel more confident that more and more activities across the state can occur,” he said in a briefing Thursday.

Once 2 million vaccine doses are given out in those neighborhoods, the state will make it easier for counties to move through reopening tiers that dictate business and school reopenings. With 1.6 million shots administered, he said he expects to hit that target in the next week or two.

Once the state gives out 4 million doses in those neighborhoods, state officials will revise the metrics for reopening sooner.

The new plan swaps out the current color-based tier plan with a person-of-color-based plan.

The Associated Press reported that the governor said getting the vaccines into the arms of Latinos is a “race against exhaustion,” whatever that means.

“It is a race against the variants. It’s a race against exhaustion. It’s a race to safely, thoughtfully open our economy, mindful that it has to be an economy that doesn’t leave people behind, that is truly inclusive,” Newsom, a Democrat, said at a news conference. He also encouraged people to wear two masks.

State lawmaker Lorena Gonzalez, the woman who’s responsible for AB 5, which largely killed the freelance worker economy in California on behalf of her union pals, wondered how the change in the plan would affect the governor’s previously announced plan to get teachers in the classroom.

The changes announced Wednesday are “kind of not fair” to those who negotiated the deal, Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez said.

“If we are going to change the tiers and suddenly everyone is in red tier, that changes the classes that have to be open, the number of classes and the testing cadences,” the San Diego Democrat said Thursday just before the Legislature voted on the bill.

“So, if you get calls from your teachers union a little upset, they have the right to be upset. You don’t negotiate a deal and change the parameters of that deal on the day we are voting on it.”

The Sacramento Bee reports that the executive director of the California Teachers Association, Joe Boyd, is a bit whipsawed at how confusing Newsom’s COVID response has been.

He said the governor’s change to the definition of the red tier makes things more complicated.

“We’ve changed the meaning of what it means to be in a tier now three times,” he said Thursday, speaking on a panel with the Public Policy Institute of California. “At some point, we have to have some consistency of what to expect.”

The governor also announced that he was advising people to wear double masks.

This is after Newsom criticized Texas Governor Gregg Abbott for halting his mask mandate, making it voluntary. He called Abbott reckless.

Of course, Newsom has broken his own coronavirus rules very publicly at least twice, at one point putting a Fresno Mexican restaurant in danger of being closed down because Newsom visited inside, against county COVID rules. The other example was Newsom’s double-standard dinner at the French Laundry with people from all different families, nearly all of whom were lobbyists.

ABC News 7 reported that Newsom was going all-in with giving out vaccines based on equity, which is to say, “color.”

Gov. Gavin Newsom has called equity the state’s “North Star.” Yet community health clinics focused on serving low-income and vulnerable Californians say they haven’t been getting enough doses. Ghaly said Thursday that Newsom’s administration will work with communities to make sure the vaccine actually ends up in the arms of those patients, not to day-trippers from wealthier ZIP codes who have the time and tech savvy to schedule appointments online.

The Sacramento Bee reported that “tying reopening to vaccination equity metrics was cheered by representatives of the legislative Black and Latino caucuses, as well as social justice and equity groups. Latinos make up roughly half of cases and deaths in California even though they are 39% of the population. […] Data show that of shots given, only about 17% were administered in vulnerable communities that have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic.”

Holding the rest of the state hostage to the vaccination rate of Latinos in certain zip codes seems an odd way of approaching the issue. The governor is apparently hoping that others will pressure Latino citizens to take a vaccine they may or may not want. If you like mask-shamers, just wait until vaccine-shaming becomes a cottage industry in the Golden State.

This plan may meet Newsom’s definition of “equity,” but certainly won’t enhance comity between Californians.

Biden announces $1,400 payments for March

(thepostmillennial)President Biden announced Saturday that Americans can expect a $1,400 cheque for COVID relief in March. This comes after the Senate passed a $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill in a 50-49 partisan vote. This is according to the Hill

This is the first stimulus cheques to be given out by the new sitting President. Previously, President Trump had issued relief in the form of $1,200 and another $600.

“This plan puts us on a path to beating the virus. This plan gives those families who are struggling the most the help and the breathing room they need to get through this moment. This plan gives small businesses in this country a fighting chance to survive,” Biden said after the bill was passed.

According to Reuters, the payments will go to 85 percent of Americans.

CNN’s Jake Tapper defends censorship of Dr. Seuss books

(thepostmillennial)CNN’s Jake Tapper took to Twitter on Saturday to voice his support for censoring Dr. Seuss books. In a retweet towards Republican House Leader Kevin McCarthy, Tapper said “one of the weirdest parts of this culture war is that the self-styled ‘warriors’ aren’t willing to stand by the empirically racist images they’re supposedly defending.”

This was in criticism of McCarthy posting a video of himself proudly reading Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs and Ham. Tapper then posted images from one of the banned books and said, “here are two of the empirically racist images from two of those books. Ask yourself why the self-styled culture warriors ‘standing up’ for Dr. Seuss don’t show these offensive images or read from the actual books in question when they’re on this crusade.”

The CNN anchor concluded by saying, “I would submit that they can’t defend the images because they’re indefensible. I would suggest that they don’t show them to you on the floor of the House or in their little videos because they don’t want to be associated with those racist images either.”

Tapper then received backlash at his supposedly supportive position of banning books. Author and Mathematician James Lyndsey said, “You seem not to know what ’empirically’ means,” in a reply. Others point to the dangerous precedent of outright banning books.

China wants their boys to man up and stop acting like girls

(thepostmillennial)China’s government finds itself in a fight against shifts subverting traditional cultural norms.

According to NBC News, the Chinese government intends to “encourage masculinity” for the male students in their education system.

This flying in the face of many postmodernist gender theories that subvert the roles of gender altogether. People in that field are even responding as much.

Lü Pin is the founder of a Chinese advocacy group called Feminist Voices, which was also banned by Chinese censors three years ago. She spoke to NBC on the subject:

“Boys don’t need masculinity education. The concept of masculinity forces every man to be tough, which excludes and harms men with other types of characteristics. It also reinforces men’s hegemony, control and position over women, which goes against gender equality.”

This issue has been on the minds of Beijing officials since December 2020, according to an official proposal. In it we learn that the Chinese government wants  the Ministry of Education to hire more physical education teachers and bolster the learning in that department. The same is intended for the country’s health education.

On a final note the government proposal suggests research into topics like the “influence of the phenomenon of internet celebrities on adolescents’ values.”

The societal direction for China culturally aims to have their men becoming strong leaders and excelling in all manner of school subjects. Whereas they want their women to be the softer counterparts. NBC frames it as though the country is fighting against a similar upheaval that Western countries are experiencing in this front. With girls entering university more often and outperforming the opposite sex.

Some of the people NBC spoke to blame today’s pop culture icons (“male Chinese pop stars who wear makeup and androgynous”), while others cite a need to reinvigorate physical disciplines as the go-to solution.
