(Big League Politics) – A washed up comedienne was booed Friday night for making jokes at the expense of President Donald J. Trump.
“This is not the first time we’ve elected a racist, sexist, homophobic president,” said Wanda Sykes at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey. “He ain’t the fist one. He’s just the first confirmed one.”
According to a report, around 20 people walked out of the show.
“She made some comments that patrons in the audience found objectionable and they determined that it would be better if they left,” said Jonathan E. Vena, vice president of marketing and communications for Count Basie.
A social media editor for USA Today was at the show, and Tweeted about the incident.
“Bunch of people heckled @iamwandasykes at her Count Basie Theatre for doing a significant amount of material about our…current political climate. Her response: ‘What do you expect? I’m a black lesbian,’” said Courtney Marabella, adding clapping hand emojis to show her support for Sykes.

Friday was not the first time that Sykes has been booed for anti-Trump “comedy.”
In fact, she was booed off stage for the exact same bit in Boston days after the election in Nov. 2016.
